Twisted Star

This Is Coach Dan's Twisted Star

js_Star Glide -Left Front 2.jpg (47874 bytes)

This is the evolution of the Twisted Star.

I bought her in the crate, sight unseen, with the intentions of turning her into a touring bike. Didn't care what color she was, I had plans to tear her down, and paint her when we got home. Well, as you can see, Twisted Star had her own plans, and now I think she wouldn't look right in any other colors. Gotta get the blue on those saddlebags.

I really like the MaxFlo Air Filter kit. I was having some of the same symptoms as others were with SVS. Back firing, flames shooting out the exhaust, and loss of power cleared up when I rejetted the carb. The MaxFlo Air Filter kit is probably the main reason that I am not having a bad SVS problem now! Wide Open quick disconnect fairing.  I have the 10" clear windshield, but I have 5" of black limo tint on the bottom of it. Makes it looks like the sport windshield. Can't really see the clear most of the time. Ultima seat, I love my Mustang seat with backrest, but this one just looks cooler. Mustang will be on for the longer rides.

Aspen Classic Camper.

No more having to carefully load down the Twisted Star. Now I just throw gear into camper storage area and go!!

As far as towing, Twisted Star pulls it great, but I sometimes need to make an appointment to stop it. The pros do out weigh the cons, and I'm already spoiled. Makes setting up camp a lot faster and easier.

Lower Fairings And RSV Saddlebags

Hated to give up my Lindby Bars, but wanted a little more wind protection in rain and cold. Not sure if I made right decision yet, but as temps drop I'll know for sure.

The RSV Saddlebags sure have a lot of room, and the RSV trailer hitch is a lot more stabile.

I can still have the Fairing, Lower fairings, and Tour Trunk off in about 15 minutes!!    But, I'm now beginning to wonder why that's so important. I kinda like the baggage.

This is about all I strip her down to any more. Remove the trunk, and put on the Ultama seat, and 5" black sport shield. I'm good for all day riding, with a lot of stops. If I want to do 500-600 mile days, I put the trunk, Mustang seat, and 12 Clearview shield back on, and I'm good to go.
